The MU Faculty Council on University Policy has approved several policies related to the use of AI in the classroom. Refer to the Faculty Handbook (section XIV, Additions to the Faculty Handbook) for the following policies:

AI in the teaching and learning environment is a priority for the Office of the Provost. An AI Task Force, AI Committee and AI Fellows program have been established to embrace the innovation and opportunity of AI in a socially responsible manner that aligns with the values of our institution.
The Teaching for Learning Center offers a wide variety of professional development opportunities for MU educations to thoughtfully consider their pedagogical options with and without AI. From course redesign institutes, to one-on-one consultations, to hands-on labs, asynchronous resources, and conferences, faculty and instructors can engage with the team on every AI topic.
